PE File Reader

Pe File Reader [Opening .exe files to analyze the PE-header] Hello_Friend, and welcome to the 20's, Cybermonkeys! Let's start this decade by learning some stuff. Last year, we already took an in-depth look at Linux-binaries (aka ELF files) , now let's start messing around with it's infamous Windows-Counterpart (that also happens to be the xBox file format). Introduction The PE-file format is around for quite some time now, and while heavy optimizations took place, it hasn't really changed all that much since then. In fact, it is one of the most widely encountered file formats out in the wilds. Although there is technically a difference between PE32 files (32bit) and PE32+ files (64bit), we will ignore this fact for the sake of this blogpost. Some file extensions deriving from this format are: .acm   [ a Windows audio-codec] .ax    [MPEG-4 DVD format] .cpl   [dynamic link libraries for control panels] .dll   [dynamic link lib...

About me

Hellofriend,

nice to meet you here on my domain.
I am a tech enthusiast, coder, scrapper, whatever you wanna call me.

My love is for everything and everyone that is special in some way, be it an elegant piece of code or a line to troll the hell out on somebody. I am also someone who values shit not only over it's price tag, therefore I happen to "save" old stuff and scrap the good parts out. I will post some of this stuff soon enough. The problem nowadays is more than often that people see something that does not work as intendet, and they decide that it must be trash. I pity these poor creatures , blindet by the light that capitalism shines down on them. If someone is braindead but had a functional, healthy body, would you rather throw him away or use the parts to save someone else's life?

It is my deepest believe that the world can be saved by technology if we all work together, but unfortunately we design mashines and programs not by the means of what is best, but of what sells best. People rather spy on their neighbours instead of talking to them, brother betrays brother, and the big companies and failed states of the world support this behaviour knowingly. There might be an escape plan, but mankind is to afraid to walk the path down to singularity.

Enough babbling shit, let's end the same way we begun:

Hellofriend,

nice to meet you here on my domain.
